About the instructor

Throughout our lives, we celebrate numerous beginnings and passages: the joy of birth and christenings, the poignant transition of coming-of-age ceremonies and 21st birthdays, the commitments signified by engagements and marriages. Yet, there remains a passage that awaits us all, often shrouded in silence and misunderstanding — the passage of death.

This course opens the door to compassionate and courageous conversations surrounding death, delving into the roots of our fears and anxieties. We draw inspiration from the profound imagery offered by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, who likened the body to a cocoon — a temporary dwelling for the soul. At death, the soul emerges, like a butterfly, returning to its Source; a journey back to the living Light, Love, or divine intelligence from which we originated.

Across many spiritual traditions, and through countless accounts of near-death and out-of-body experiences, this return is described as a profound movement into peace, clarity, and unconditional love. It’s a vibration shift that often transforms individuals, making them more grateful, awake, and aligned with what truly matters in life.

While psychological frameworks can provide useful language for navigating these experiences, they can sometimes feel formal and limiting, reducing the ineffable mystery of dying to mere theories. In contrast, this course values direct experience, reverence, and the wisdom of the heart, knowing that through embracing mortality, we can reorient our lives towards awe, love, and gratitude.

Moreover, contemporary insights into near-death experiences reveal how consciousness can transcend time, place, and the physical body itself. Yet, it’s essential to remember that the body keeps score. Moving forward healthily involves considering the health of our body too, emphasizing the significance of the gut-brain connection and the role of the vagus nerve.

Through this exploration, we strive to not only understand death but ultimately to illuminate and enrich the way we live now. This course will navigate these profound topics through six structured modules, each crafted to offer a deeper understanding and new perspectives, helping us navigate our lives and assist others in their journeys. Together, let us embark on this transformative path.
